The posts only been by twice due to snow? Perhaps you should tell 'em about a fine invention by those pesky American Colonnials. It's called a four wheel drive pickup. They go nearly anywhere and can even be fitted with tire (tyre) chains for icy and snowy conditions. I've heard of a make there in Jolly Old. Land Rover. I've even seen one or two over here.

Good luck and keep a stiff upper lip.
sorted for the mast when it goes on, hoping I've got the right position, took it from the fact the chain plates are still on one side, rudder is going to be a bit bigger, we can still stick a tiller on the current one, the chains are connected to a quadrant on deck with a neck for a tiller

just bought a copy of march's book. not arrived yet though. found a copy in the states for a fraction of what UK booksellers wanted - saw copies at anything up to £225!! got one for $40

Best make that rudder a bit taller and a bit bigger if you plan to rig the boat to sail, so you can tiller steer her. Good to have an emergency tiller too.

Mind you, did you put the mast partners in before you put the deck back down?
You can get round it if you haven't.

You really should get a copy of Edgar March, Sailing Drifters. Loads of diagrams, you would love it. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Keep going!
